WHAT IS VOCAL TECHNIQUE
Because VoiceWorks aims to provide each student with a well-rounded facility,
Vocal Technique is of prime importance.
Vocal Technique equips the student with a healthy approach
to using the vocal apparatus. Much research has gone into teaching methods
in recent years, providing teachers with well-grounded information
regarding the voice.
So.... what is it?
Technique is something we once had naturally.
Making sound is primal, not intellectual.
The techniques we offer unravel the thought processes
and bring us right back to our original sound.
This involves taking apart the voice and working on individual functions,
just as an athlete would, gradully bringing balance and efficient use to the voice.
Thus we can arrive at a place of non-inhibition,
discovering, as a result, unbounded freedom and joy .
Playing with pure sound, we discover we can sing phrases freely
and with new confidence.
